Mrs Clapham went to see a talk from Tom Palmer, who was discussing Reading for Pleasure. He used to find reading very difficult at school, but started to read for himself because he was interested in football. He is now a famous author, who writes stories about football and rugby. He asked for nominations for children who had made excellent progress in reading. One of the pupils from Harlescott was chosen as the winner and received a prize of a signed book and Christmas card!
