On Friday both Morning and Afternoon groups at Harlescott completed our Sponsored Walk to raise money for Harlescott Education Centre. Thank you to everyone who has sponsored the children, it really does make such a difference. Some of the children showed great determination and completed 16 laps of the walking track, which is 4 miles! We are working on calculating how far we walked altogether and the grand total of money raised.
Secondary pupils at Sundorne and Oswestry education centres put together some paintings, and photography based around the forget me not flower and togetherness, as a gift for the Severn Hospice.
A representative from each centre visited the Severn Hospice Apley site to meet with the fundraising organizer. Pupils toured the site, and met with nurses who work in patient homes, as well as in the Hospice. They also got to go into the coffee morning which was being held and meet patients who have been recently diagnosed with a terminal illness.
Staff at Severn Hospice were really impressed with both pupils, and the quality of their work. They gave us a mention in their #thankyouthursday during half term.
