Students at Oswestry Centre enjoyed exploring Whittington Castle in the lovely weather. They discovered the 13th Century ruins and the rumour that Dick Whittington may have lived in a cottage nearby.
Students then learnt about the attack by cannon fire in 1643 during the Civil War. Students ended the day with a delicious ice cream!
Key Stage 2 pupils at Harlescott have been learning all about World War 2 in Britain in History. They have created some very atmospheric paintings inspired by The Blitz. First we used sponges to create a fiery background before drawing and cutting out silhouettes of the London skyline.
